Captina Conservancy hosts multiple educational and recreational events for the public each year.

Recent events have included:
  • A spring litter pickup at Slope Creek Reservoir that hauled a dump truck load of trash to the landfill
  • Our annual wildflower walk that drew over 70 people to Barkcamp State Park to learn about spring wildflowers
  • A tree planting that placed 103 potentially blight resistant hybrid American Chestnut trees at Rock River Refuge.
  • Our inaugural Captina Creekin' Festival held on Captina Creek with live music, educational activities, food, hay rides, and much more
  • A birthday party celebrating the 42nd birthday of Marvin's (the oldest living Hellbender) with cake, ice cream, and a screening of the short film, "Hellbender in the Blue".
