Dysart Woods Land Protection Manager
Our Dysart Woods Land Protection Manager will be the key resource for the well-being of Dysart Woods, responsible for maintaining public access, stewarding and improving Dysart Woods ecology, working with the community and stakeholders to protect the old-growth forest, and coordinating public outreach and education for Dysart Woods. This is a year-round, 20 hours per week position, with flexible work schedule available. Position pay is commensurate with experience, up to $18 per hour.
We: Are a small, but committed team of 14 board members, one full-time Executive Director, occasional seasonal interns, and dedicated volunteers. We promote, protect, and preserve Captina Creek and other regional watersheds, some of the highest-quality waters in the state of Ohio. We love the land and our community and are passionate about preserving Dysart Woods as one of the last old-growth forests in our part of Appalachia.
You, the successful candidate: Love the outdoors and all things land, water and trees. You are enthusiastic and optimistic. You like working as part of team to accomplish long-term goals, but are also self-motivated and able to work alone. You care about our local community, and like communicating with people about our natural environment.
