Join us for the third talk of our Captina Science Pub- a series of lectures from scientists and researchers on topics of interest to us all! This talk comes to us from hydrologist Sarah Kreitzer. Sarah travels the country conducting trainings and educational sessions for the U.S. Department of the Interior. She will discuss different methods of underground mining and their impacts to surface and groundwater. Come early (6pm) to buy dinner in the meeting room, or join us at 7pm for the talk. Last week we scouted out a restoration site in Cat Run watershed (a tributary to Captina Creek), which will include fencing out livestock and restoring a natural stream channel.
