2018 Documentary Film ProjectCaptina Conservancy’s Spotlight on Captina Creek Watershed Initiative, conducted in January 2017, featured informative presentations, small group discussions and brainstorming, and ended with a session of action planning. It became clear during the day long session that so much of Captina Conservancy’s work continues to be educating the public about the value of the watershed. To that end, one of the major projects for the coming year is the production of a documentary film to tell the story of Captina Creek Watershed and why it is so important to protect it.
The documentary film will inform and engage audiences about the fragility and resiliency of Captina Creek Watershed through exploring its rich history and biodiversity, examining challenges to protecting the watershed, and identifying how we can ensure a beautiful, healthy watershed for future generations. Completion of the film is scheduled for 2018. |
